Joshua B. Hodgson has been playing drums since the
age
of 3 when he received his first drum kit for Christmas
in 2001. He took to it right away and played it until it
fell apart. He was given another kit as a gift in 2006, a
Gretsch Catalina Birch set, which he now plays. Joshua
is
receiving professional drum lessons by Bert Brandi
each week.
Joshua has competed in local talent
shows and school programs. He placed 2nd at the
2007 PTA Reflections school talent competition. Josh
also auditioned for and was selected to perform at the
18th Annual Temecula Valley Talent Showcase, He
played in front of 500 people on August 4, 2007 at
the Thomas H. Langley Amphitheatre .
Joshua's Favorite drummers are Neil Peart, Travis
Barker
and Noah "Wuv" Bernardo. His other hobbies and
interest
include Dirt Bike Riding, Astronomy, Swimming,
Reading and Science. Joshua hopes to go to Africa and
help the people and animals that live there.
" There's a great need, I want to help. Maybe my music
can get me there ".
